Desktop Enhancement under Win32 Plate-forms :    Since some years, several software are skinable. Desktop Enhancement becomes a fashion. Personnaly, I was bored by the ugly Microsoft Windows GUI, so i searched for customizing my desktop. For me the most important thing , it 's to have a stable environment, it should be easy to use, fast and beautiful. I first tried the french custom shell called Litestep, i found it very customisable, beautiful and nice but on Windows NT, it's not stable. I work essientially on NT, and i just use windows95/98 for gaming.     So Witch software?    After Testing most of customize tools (skinable software, windows enhancement, shell replacement ...). I choose tree software to customize my desktop. Evwm (www.evwn.unpaved.com) It is for me a good shell replacement, is nice, simple, efficient, easy to use, very fast menu system, and very stable. NextView (www.glabouni.com/nextview) To launch my apps I use the freeware version of NextView ( version ),it 's a Next Os style tool bar. It's nice, customisable, easy to use. WindowsBlind (http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/) I use Windowsblind to enhancement the look of window because it' s stable, reduce a few graphics performance. SysMeter (http://skintacular.com/thirty4/)    To complete My desktop, I have installed sysmeter (a monitor system performance viewer).
